Become an ISOC Member

Form a Chapter

An ever increasing number of ISOC chapters are forming around the world. Local chapters enhance, exchange, and initiate debate of Internet-related issues on a local or regional level. They also help to raise general awareness of the role of the Internet and enable the point of view of the Internet community to play a key role in decision-making processes.

If you are interested in setting up an ISOC chapter in your area you might like to have a look at the following sources of information:

Applying for recognition

To become an official chapter of ISOC you need to apply for recognition and provide the following documents:

  1. An official Application.
  2. A completed set of bylaws. These chapter bylaws should conform to ISOC chapter policies.
  3. Your Chapter also needs to have at least 25 Members who are subscribed as ISOC members (all members of a chapter must be members of ISOC).

These documents should be returned to the Chapter Administration Staff.
