Peter Godwin, IT Director

Peter Godwin is the Internet Society's IT Director. Prior to joining ISOC, Peter's most recent responsibility was as a Technology Strategist in the Corporate IT department of IKEA, a major international furniture retailer. Before that he started up and then managed the IT operations for IKEA's European purchasing group for a number of years. During his time with IKEA, he also created new concepts for web-based system management and EDI that were implemented worldwide.

Earlier, Peter held a number of management positions in the Marketing Communications department of Digital Equipment Corporation's European headquarters including Communications Manager for the Digital Equipment Corporation Users' Society (DECUS Europe).

Peter was born in London and holds a BSc combined degree in Engineering with German language from the University of Bath, England.
