2003 Board Election
Election Results
In accordance with
our Trustee Selection Procedures
(http://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/trustees/select.shtml),
three parallel
processes were held during the period from late January 2003 through May
20, 2003. These were:
- the election of
two Trustees by ISOC Organization Members;
- the election of
one Trustee by ISOC Chapters;
- the selection
of one Trustee by the ISOC Standards Organizations.
All new Trustees
will serve three year terms.
The Standards Organization
Trustee were selected in accordance with
procedures established by these organizations and ratified by the ISOC
Board of Trustees.
The new Standards
Trustee is:
Margaret Wasserman
In the Organization
Member election, there were 4 candidates on the slate,
with two Trustees to be elected. Of the 113 eligible Organization Members,
60 cast ballots. In the Chapter Election, there were 4 candidates on the
slate, with one Trustee to be elected. Of the 71 active Chapters, 59 cast
ballots.
After a complete count,
the elected candidates are as follows:

All new Trustees will
serve for a three-year term ending in 2006. Eleven
previously-elected Trustees continue to serve on the Board. They are (along

Formal ratification
of the election results is dependent on the outcome of
the challenge period ending Wednesday, July 9, 2003.
