Community and PartnersCouncil of European National Top Level Domain Registries (CENTR)CENTR is a not-for-profit association of Internet Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) Registries. CENTR provides a forum to discuss matters of policy affecting ccTLD registries and acts as a channel of communication to Internet governing bodies and other organisations involved with the Internet. It promotes the interests of not-for-profit ccTLDs and lobbies on their behalf. CENTR also facilitates collaborative projects on technical managerial and legal issues affecting ccTLDs. It has a European focus, but no geographical restrictions to membership. CENTR activities are funded by membership fees, and performed by a secretariat based in Brussels, Belgium. Full membership is open to organisations, corporate bodies or individuals that operate a country code top level domain registry. ISOC, however, has joined CENTR in the capacity of an observer, based on shared interests in Internet public policy and technical development. Read more about CENTR… |
